Mobile loading ramps are special devices used in conjunction with a forklift or hydraulic trolley for loading and unloading goods. Using a mobile loading ramp of, the forklift can load/unload grouped loads in the middle of the truck/trolley and access them directly from the ground surface. It helps the company save labor significantly, increases efficiency, accelerates freight turnover and makes the overall economic impact visible. The mobile loading ramp consists of two load-bearing welded side walls, access plates (folding ramps for access), connecting ramp, roadway, hydraulic and wheel groups. The folding access ramps are made of slats with a corrugated plate cover and stiffeners applied to the back. The middle and upper sections of the ramp are fitted with flooring for maximum contact of the truck wheels with the surface and drainage. The connecting bridge is made of thick steel plate. A hydraulic group is installed in the central part of the structure, which takes care of raising and lowering the loading ramp. The hydraulic group consists of a hydraulic station (containing a hand pump, an oil flow valve and an oil tank) and two hydraulic cylinders (unidirectional operation with return to the starting position under the influence of the loading bridge's own weight). To move the loading ramp, a swivel coupler installed in the lower part, between the ramps or on the side, serves for one “fork” of the loader. In the upper horizontal part of the loading ramp, chains with carabiners (hooks) are attached to secure the loading ramp to the body. In the middle of the loading ramp on both sides are parking brakes (“wheel chocks”) for blocking the wheels of the loading ramp during loading/unloading.
Advantages:
- deployable at multiple locations, even when relatively far apart.
- Only one person needed, to independently load/unload containers with a forklift. A huge savings in labor costs because other methods often require 2-3 people.
- up to 3 x faster loading/unloading than the conventional way with a hand pallet truck in the container.
- huge savings in time and labor (fewer people can load/unload a container faster), investment amount quickly recouped.
- in case of heavy drums, crates or pallets, working with a container loading bridge is safer and improves working conditions when loading/unloading.
